logo-chapa-verde-chileLocated in the lands of Codelco (National Copper Corporation), Chapa Verde Ski CLub is 60 kilometers northeast of Rancagua and 145 km. away from  Santiago. This center offers the best alternative in the central area for those who are looking for a cheaper, more relaxed, and less crowded center.

The maximum altitude is 3.100 meters, and the skiable area covers over 1.200 hectares. Access is restricted, and the only vehicles allowed are those belonging to the center, or private vehicles with the proper authorization, which can be bought in the Rancagua headquarters. The 22 tracks have a southwest orientation, and range from 1.200 mts. to 2,500 mts. in length. There are also four drag-lifts and a triple chair lift, repair workshop, equipment rental, a restaurant, a cafeteria, ski school and first aid services.

Regarding acommodation, the center has individual cabins for renting throughout the season.

How to get there
Santiago-Rancagua: by land. From Rancagua, take the authorized buses in Miguel Ramírez Ave. 665, Rancagua. They have daily departures: from Monday to Friday at 09:00 am; on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 08:00 hrs. Returns start at 17:00 hrs.

Chapa Verde boasts two cozy restaurants:

-One of them is located in the bottom of the winter center, offering a complete service of breakfast, lunch, dinner, fast food, international bar, and snacks
-The other one, located in the base of "La Liebre" triple chair, offers different alternatives in a European style, including Spanish and French cuisine, barbecues, and grill bar.

Ski School
Chapa Verde Ski School, run and administered by the Ski Club itself, offers lessons for children and adults, in a safe, welcoming environment,  with the best instructors in their respective fields. The Mini Ski School operates only in winter holidays.


Trails and Lifts

Chapa Verde has a skiable area of approximately 1,200 hectares. The base is situated at 2,370 mts. above sea level, and the highest point at 3.100 mts. Its trails are characterized as being long with great inclines, and with an excellent quality snow.


The tracks are graded according to their difficulty level: green: beginners, blue: intermediate, red: advanced, and blacks: expert.

Ski Rental

Chapa Verde Ski Center has parabolic skis, monoskis, and snowboards for rental, both for adults and children. Plus, it has a special workshop for board repairs and maintenance.
