Lagunillas is the only ski center located at 2,200 mt. of altitude. It receives skiing fanatics and poeple looking for a family atmosphere that other centers do not possess.

Lagunillas Ski Center is run by Club Andino, and has a skiable area of 200 hectares, with 13 tracks for skiers of all levels. Due to its location and surroundings, Lagunillas is the ideal place for all mountain activities, including randonneé and snowboarding.


Basic Information

Location
Lagunillas is located 65 km. southeast of Santiago, Región Metropolitana. 16 km. southeast you will find San José de Maipo.

When to go
From mid-June to mid-October.

How to get there
Leave Santiago through route G-25 towards San José de Maipo (It's 48 km. of paved road). 3 km. after the town, take the left exit towards the city center (signalled). It is another 17 kilometers through a well maintained, unpaved road. In winter, using snow chains is compulsory from the police control post to the center. The traffic goes uphill from 8:00 to 15:00 and downhill from 16:00 to 20:00

Ski School
 Lagunillas Ski School has qualified instructors for skiers of all levels, from beginners to those who just wish to perfect their technique.


Trails and Lifts

Lagunillas's 13 tracks range from easy, medium, and difficult, to "experts only". The most popular runs are Novicios, Pancho and La Lola, which fluctuate between 350 and 1.100 mts. long. Furthermore, in this ski center you can also ski at night.

In Club Andino de Lagunillas store, situated in the access to the tracks, you can rent accessories and equipment for both skiing and snowboarding.
