DESCRIPTION
Experience the true spirit of Chilean Patagonia, travelling on a 5 day journey with Catamaranes del Sur. The destination is San Rafael Lagoon, located in the National Park that bears the same name. Its main attraction is the San Rafael Glacier, which is currently in gradual retreat. Aboard the zodiac boats you take a close look at the Glacier and of course, drink a glass of whiskey served with millenial ice.

Reception at Balmaceda Airport and transfer to Loberias del Sur Hotel, located in Puerto Chacabuco.
Arrival at the hotel, with the beautiful bay of Puerto Chacabuco in the background. You will stay there three nights. At sunset a welcome dinner will be offered, including appetizers, main course, dessert and coffee.

At 8:00 a.m. you will take part in an unforgettable trip on a catamaran that will take you across islands, channels, and fjords, in a breathtaking scenery. Arrival at Laguna San Rafael at 2:00 p.m. You will stay there for 2 - 3 hours, enjoying whiskey served with millenial ice.
Return to Puerto Chacabuco, where you will be taken back to your hotel.

At 09:00 a.m. a bus will take you from Loberias del Sur to Aiken del Sur Private Park, through a landscape of a unique beauty. There, you will go on an excursion combining adventure, close contact with Patagonia's virgin nature, emotion, and a delicious Patagonian barbecue.
At the agreed hour you will be taken back to LoberÃas del Sur, where you'll have the chance to rest and prepare to participate in a goodbye dinner. This will be crowned with the most delicious wines and seafood.

After an abundant breakfast in the hotel, visitors may choose one of the 2 following excursions: Horse riding in the valley of Simpson River or Fishing in Simpson River.

After a well-deserved night rest in and a breakfast in LoberÃas del Sur, visitors will be taken to Balmaceda Airport for their flight back to Santiago.

Included excursions
Once you leave Balmaceda Airport you will tour part of the Carretera Austral, a continental route that connects the provinces of Llanquihue and Palena to the Aysén region (Northern Patagonia), passing by the lovely city of Coyhaique. During this trip, you will be able to observe the impressive landscape that makes up these lands.
After an hour drive from the Hotel to Coyhaique, enjoying the spectacular landscapes of the Simpson Valley, you will arrive at a typical Patagonian Hacienda. The guides will show you this grand house and its accommodations, which have remained the same since their construction; a box lunch will be served, including pisco sour and coffee. After lunch, one of the guides will lead the group, on horseback, through native forests, rivers, and remarkable landscapes. This tour lasts approximately 3 hours, during which you will stop to rest or eat snacks. The flora and fauna of the area is impressive, where all kinds of birds, rabbits, hares, and other kinds of animals can be seen. After an hour drive from the Hotel to Coyhaique, through the spectacular landscapes of the Simpson Valley, you will arrive at a typical Patagonian Hacienda. The guides there will show you this grand house and its accommodations, which have remained the same since their construction. Once you have become acquainted with the place, you will enjoy a box lunch (including aperitif and coffee). After lunch, the guides will take you to a specific fishing area to start touring part of the Simpson River. During the tour you will be supplied with a fishing rod, flies, bait, adequate clothing and taught either the fly fishing or trolling techniques. During the 3 hours of the excursion, you will stop to rest or eat snacks. (Fishing excursions always takes place in the afternoon). The Catamarán Iceberg Expedition will take passengers through patagonian islands, channels and fjords that offer a spectacle beyond one's imagination. Finally, you will arrive at the marvelous San Rafael Lagoon. Its main attraction are the glacier and surrounding icebergs, as well as the chunks of ice loosening and breaking off the glacier. On board zodiac boats, you can approach the Glacier and the various icebergs in its proximity. Upon finishing the excursion, you will enjoy a delicious whiskey served with millenial ice. The visit lasts 2 to 3 hours, at the end of which you will return to Puerto Chacabuco. Arrival at 9:00pm and transfer to the hotel to relax after a magical day filled with emotions.  Aikén del Sur Private Park features several natural beauties, like the shore of Lake Riesco renowned for its placid, crystal-clear blue waters; a 22mt waterfall; natural prairies, forests and wide variety of local fauna, some of which were found for the very first time inside this park. Also, huge meadows, where myrtles, moss, and lichen combine to create spectacular, colorful landscapes.
Chaitén Catamarán
On board the Chaitén Catamaran you will tour unparalleled attractions in the Aysén region, where you can enjoy marvelous surroundings, sitting comfortably in the deck. The food on board is first-class, always meeting the standards of a fine international cuisine, and in accordance with the environment that unfolds around you. The large parlor on the second deck offers the visitor a splendid view and a large bar where you can taste fine Chilean wine.
