Right in the middle of downtown is located one of the oldest buildings of the entire Patagonia, the centenary old mansion formerly owned by Don José Nogueira and Doña Sara Braun, two characters who "wrote" the history of Patagonia.
For its operation the hotel restored an old mansion that has been declared a national monument. The available spaces were adapted so that the structure of the building would not be charged and therefore all of the rooms are not exactly the same. For this reason, some rooms are bigger than others, but each one acquiring their own personality and characteristics, and all having a high level of comfort. This specialty of Hotel José Nogueira is extended to all of the guests each one receiving a completely personalized attention, far from the service that usually surrounds it.
José Nogueira Hotel has three suites and 22 rooms, all with excellent bathrooms and all exquisitely decorated with stylish furniture, minibar, direct dial telephones, cable TV (with American channels like CNN), safe-deposit boxes, and PC connection to a telephone line. We also offer fax, E-mail, and Internet services. In addition the suites of the hotel have a Jacuzzi and a comfortable sitting room area.
EntertainmentThe José Nogueira Hotel has two dining rooms and the Winter Garden or Pergola dining room. The first two contain the original furniture, lamps, and curtains of the mansion and in the Pergola one can dine enjoying the long summer days, with daylight until 11 P.M. The quality of the meals has received praised commentaries in specialized magazines. Here one can taste the typical Patagonian and international foods.
