	The new Kunza Hotel, in San Pedro de Atacama, has changed our perception of the desert. A large citadel has arisen under the watchful eye of the Licancabur Volcano, in the shadow of the “chañars” and between the desert lakes, perpetuating the simplicity of the indigenous people without neglecting the comfort offered by a luxury five star establishment. Description

This oasis, located in the Ayllu de Yaye, almost 2 km south of the emblematic town of San Pedro de Atacama, is the culmination of a an ambitious project led by outstanding professionals. There are 5,600 m2 of built areas in a unique landscape of vast plains with a predominant view of the Licancabur Volcano and the La Sal mountain range and a masterly arrangement of spaces by the architect Cristian Boza, in harmony with the geography of the area, incorporating natural elements typical of the zone.

A huge wooden door jealously guards a saintly precinct. Mystical and magical, Kunza is the culmination of a unique experience, perfectly blending luxury with the rusticity of the zone. Its 60 suites are distributed in three sections, consisting of 20 modules of three suites each. There are 6 deluxe and 54 regular suites, all 52 m2. Beyond the comfort offered by the suites, its charm lies in those specific details that make your stay unforgettable, such as the outdoor shower attached to the bathroom for those sweltering days when temperatures rise above 30ºC. Showering under the starlit night sky can be quite an experience.

Rates

• Fees are per room per night, include breakfast, access to spa and use of hotel swimming pools and jacuzzis. Fees in U.S. dollars (US$) and equivalent in Chilean pesos (CL).
• Fees are expressed in American Dollars and apply to foreign tourists (properly documented with passport or equivalent).
• Fees may be subject to change without previous notification. These DO NOT apply to events, conferences and fairs.
• Cancellation policies: the following information answer to the days of receipt for the cancellation request.
  High Season (October to April): 10 days before the check in date.
  Low Season (May to September): 05 days before the check in date.

These fees consider a tax exemption of the Value Added Tax ("Impuesto al Valor Agregado" or IVA, in Chile). For residents of Chile, a 19% IVA must be added to the fees previously mentioned.
