 HALF DAY EXCURSIONS

4 hours.
Mount Ferrier, located close to the hostería, is an unforgettable alternative for hiking and trekking lovers. Even though its summit is located at 1560 mts, at 600 you will arrive at the Mirador (viewpoint), accessible to all those in average physical condition. As you go uphill the park will reveal itself, showing you a landscape rich in lakes, ice, and mountains. This 4-hour trek is, without a doubt, an unforgettable excursion.

2 hours.
The receding millenial ice in Grey Valley left an indelible trace on the slopes of the peaks surrounding it. It also drew a clear line in the frontal morain, giving birth to Margarita Lagoon on the lower side and Marco Antonio on the higher one. Surrounded by vegetation and a rich variety of birds, these lagoons are an ideal destination for a soft trek, recommended for all types of hikers. This walk lasts 3 hours, including several stops in which you will appreciate the stunning backgrond of Grey Glacier and Paine Massif.

3 hours.
Close to the hostería, Grey river has eroded the rock, creating a deep canyon surrounded by vertical rock walls of over 30 mts. After a short trek you will get to the top of those walls, a spot called "Cañón del Eco" (Echo Canyon), and enjoy the breathtaking view. After this, you will climb until arriving at 'Mirador de Los Tres Lagos' (Three Lakes Viewpoint), from where you will simultaneously see the Lakes Grey, Pehoé, and Nordenskjöld. After three hours you will return to the hostería.

3 hours.
Grey Glacier is one of the largest glaciers with regular tours to visit it. You can get close to this impressive wonder of nature aboard the vessel Grey II, that departing from the hostería will let you appreciate wonderful landscapes and formations. After sailing amongst icebergs for about 35 minutes the vessel will approach the glacier, which is divided in two by a central island where you can disembark if you want to. From there you can see the infinity of cracks and upliftings that give shape to this impressive mass of ice. There are times when the lake is filled with icebergs that have broken off the glacier, not allowing Grey II to sail these waters. In those cases, you can still sail in zodiac boats.

3 hours.
This Valley offers a number of surprises and attractions. If you do not have time to get to the main waterfall, a soft trek will take you to a place called Chorrillo de los Salmones. In the area there's a small stream of water falling through the rocks, which also lets you see some trouts swimming in these winding waters.
