Archipielago Juan Fernandez National Park Chile
Archipielago Juan Fernandez National Park ChileAlthough slightly difficult to get to, this park boasts one of the most amazing ecosystems in the planet: not only has it a unique and endemic flora, but also, the irregular geography and climate have forged a definite folkloric tradition distinct from that of the mainland.

Situated on Robinson Crusoe island, which owes its name to the story of the famous castaway, this park has a mysterious history and an attraction for adventurous tourists. Its gastronomic tradition is rich, with great amounts of lobsters being caught each day from the legendary waters.

Archipiélago de Juan Fernández National Park was created the 16th of January of 1935. It has an area of 9.570,55 ha, and was declared a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO.
