Well-marked trails give you a chance to stroll through the renowned Valdivian Rain Forest. You'll continue your way to Todos los Santos Lake and take a short walk through an ancient beech forest. Arrival at Laguna Verde, a green lagoon at the foot of Osorno volcano. Back in your vehicle, you'll climb to over 3 thousand feet to see the Burbuja Crater and a spectacular view of the Petrohue valley and the Andes. Breakfast. Departure at 8:30 for the magical Chiloé island. You'll head to Puerto Montt, and then take the route leading to the small locality of Pargua. Here, you'll board a ferry to cross the Chacao Canal, being able to observe a great variety of seabirds and playful dolphins that often accompany the ferry. In Chacao, you'll take a rural road to Caulin Bay where you'll enjoy an oyster tasting, and then visit a nesting center of migratory birds. You'll continue your route towards Ancud and visit its main attractions: the Regional Museum of Ancud, San Antonio Fort, Arenas Gruesas Beach, Huaihuen Hill and the Municipal Market, with its stands offering a variety of seafood products and crafts. Breakfast. Depart for Frutillar on a road that goes along the shore of the lake, offering nice views of the mountains and the countryside. On arriving in Frutillar you first visit the Edmundo Winkler Forest Reserve. Then, you'll head down Frutillar’s main avenue where you'll stop at a tearoom for a delicious portion of kuchen (German-style cake) and hot chocolate. Since Frutillar was founded by German immigrants, the European heritage in its architecture and gardens can be observed. It is famous in Chile as a vacation spot, mainly for its tranquil waters and its classical music festival. Your final visit is the German Settlers’ Museum, an open-air museum that takes you back to the 1850’s, while enchanting you with the fragrances of its botanical garden.
