DESCRIPTION

For those seeking pure adrenaline, this program lets you paddle in Llanquihue Lake in front of Puerto Varas, diving into pools, shooting down natural slides, and rafting down Petrohue River.

HIGHLIGHTS

Llanquihue Lake, Petrohué River, Osorno Volcano, Blanco River

Itinerary

Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. At the appointed time you'll take a road bordering Llanquihue Lake, passing through the village of Ensenada. You stop at the Los Patos sector on the shores of the Petrohue River. Here specialized guides impart instructions and distribute all needed equipment: helmets, neoprene wet suits, etc. You are then ready to enjoy a unique experience: an hour and a half on the river, surrounded by native forest and volcanoes, enjoying the river’s crystal clear water. You beach your rafts in the Hueñu Hueñu sector, where a delicious hot chocolate and a snack await you. Return to hotel in Puerto Varas. Accommodation. (S)

You leave Puerto Varas after breakfast for Llanquihue National Forest. You begin your walk through the native forest, reaching the first of the pools and natural slides. Having a full day here makes this day even more fun and exciting. You enjoy your lunch surrounded by nature, always accompanied by specialized canyoning guides who love nature. Then, you continue scrambling from rock to rock (optional) and those who wish, may end the day with a rappel down. Return to Puerto Varas. Accommodations. (B, BL).

You depart after breakfast, driving along the southern shoreline of Llanquihue Lake, the second largest lake in Chile, enjoying impressive views (weather permitting) of Osorno Volcano. On reaching the village of Ensenada a specialized guide first briefs you, then provides all necessary equipment. After practicing a few basic strokes,  you begin paddling close to shore to reach the entrance to the small and beautiful Laguna Verde; a Green Lagoon surrounded by enormous trees. Since you are travelling in small groups, there is a good chance that you will be able to observe a great variety of birds, such as cormorants, egrets, kingfishers and probably black-necked swans. Weather permitting you will see clouds reflected in the water and hear the magnificent sound of silence. You then stop at a beach to enjoy a bit of snorkeling with magnificent views. Under water you will be able to spot huge trees at the bottom of the lake. After this experience a box lunch awaits you. Then, still paddling close to shore, you begin your return back to the van. Return to Puerto Varas. Accommodations. (B, BL).

Breakfast. You depart from Puerto Varas at 10:00 driving along the shoreline of Lake Llanquihue on the road to Ensenada to reach a beautiful lagoon hidden between cliffs and lush vegetation. After receiving an introduction to canoeing, you begin your adventure accompanied by cormorants, black-necked swans, kingfishers and other birds. After a short hike on Loreley Island and a delicious picnic, you continue your exploration towards Laguna Encantada (Enchanted Lagoon) with magnificent views of the Calbuco Volcano. When the time comes, you'll head to the airport for your return flight. (B, S).
