DESCRIPTION
Come and visit Grande Salt Flat, the largest rock salt reserve in the world, going into a 20 mt crack to get crystalline rock salts. Then you'll go to Puerto de Patillos and see a colony of sea lions and coastal birds. The trip ends with a delicious lunch in Chanavallita Beach

Departure from hotels in Iquique between 8:00 and 8:30. In the way to Grande Saltflat, we'll make a short stop in Punta Gruesa, where you'll see a lighthouse that commemorates the battle of Punta Gruesa.
Then you'll see the facilities in Puerto de Patillos, from where the salt is embarked to many countries around the world. You'll cross the coastal range and arrive at Grande Saltflat, the biggest rock salt (99,99% pure) reserve in the world . In this spot you'll have a panoramic view, and you'll also walk inside a "Troy", a 20mt crack where you'll be able to pick crystalline salt rocks.
Then we'll go back to the coast, visit a protected area, where birds and a sea lion colony live. Finally, we'll head towards Chanavallita beach, where you'll have a delicious seafood based lunch.
Return to hotel at 16:00.
