DESCRIPTION
The tour starts in Pampa Calichera, where you'll visit the ancient saltpeter offices of Santa Laura and Santiago Humberstone (declared national monuments and World Heritage Sites by UNESCO). You'll also visit the town of La Tirana, where one the country's most important religious celebrations takes place every year. Finally, you'll visit Pampa del Tamarugal National Reserve and Pica and Matilla Oasis, where you'll taste various fruits and enjoy their semi thermal waters.

Departure from hotels at 9:00 am, heading towards the Pampa. On the way you'll have a panoramic view of Iquique and cross the coastal range, to finally arrive at Caliche Pampa, where you'll visit Humberstone and Santa Laura saltpeter offices, declared National Monument and World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Here, you'll discover the splendid past of saltpeter, also called white gold, visiting mining facilities, mills, lixiviation plants, museums, hotels, local stores, pool, and market, where you can buy local craftworks.
Then, you'll head towards La Tirand town and church, where one of Chile's most important religious celebrations takes place.
You'll go across Pampa del Tamarugal Forest Reserve, arriving then at Pica Oasis.
Lunch and time to bath in "La Concha Resbaladero" semi-thermal springs.
In the afternoon you'll visit Pica Oasis fruit markets.
Later on, you'll visit the Jurassic Park Project, the Matilla Oasis, the Spanish Lagar, old winemaking center.
Return to Iquique, arrival at 8:00 pm.
