DESCRIPTION
The different and beautiful places to accommodate the imposing Lake General Carrera, the largest in Chile, second in South America, which is around for more than 50 km, whose clean water (one of the major reservoirs of fresh water on the planet) refract their Typical turquoise blue, permanent company until arrival at the Hacienda Tres Lagos.

Starting from the airport of Balmaceda we will take you through a breathtaking
landscape South, along the Carretera Austral, with a short stop at the viewpoint of
Cerro Castillo where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Valley Río Ibáñez.
Here you will also enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant.
Arriving at the hotel, we will be awaiting you with a welcome drink and depending on
the arrival time you will go for yout first fishing trip at the “Pasarela”.
In this beautiful setting, capture is almost guaranteed, always accompanied by our
professional guides.
At night you will have a dinner, based on the best ingredients of the region, which will
surely be a perfect end after a long, but exciting day.

South along the legendary Southern Highway, also known as Carretera Austral, you
will again be able to enjoy countless natural beauties, such as the confluence of the
river Baker with the river Nef.You will observe an incomparable spectacular, because
this is the place where the biggest flowing river of Chile, confronts the waters of the
river Nef.
During a boat ride on one of the most stunning rivers of Chile, our specialized guide
will show you extraordinary places for fly fishing of rainbow trouts and fario, while you
can appreciate the unique beauty of this place.
On the shores of the Baker river, you will enjoy a delightful lunch prepared by our chef.

Leaving the Hacienda you will travel in direction to Chile Chico, passing the village of
Puerto Guadal.
After aprox. 30 km you reach the river Maiten of almost 4 km length, which leads you
through beautiful forests, before reaching the waters of the lake General Carrera.
After a delicious lunch in a beautiful surrounding, you will continue to the river Maqui,
which is especially stunning because of its impressive waterfall, virgin nature and
abundance of fish.
As usual, on arrival back to the Hacienda, dinner will be awaiting you, having the
chance to taste typical products of the zone such as lamb, beef, pheasant, rabbit, hares,
wild boar, salmon, etc.

Along the legendary Carretera Austral, you will pass countless natural beauties, such
as the confluence of the river Baker with the river Nef. You will observe an
incomparable unique natural spectacular, because this is the place, where the biggest
flowing river of Chile confronts the waters of the river Nef, which produces a giant
collision that you can observe from its shores.
Shortly after the village Cochrane, about 70 km from the Hacienda Tres Lagos, you will
reach the National Reserve Tamango, a one-of-a-kind and especially picturesque spot.
This reserve is perfect for fly fishing, where the waters are crystal clear and trouts of an
excellent size can be caught.
After lunch in a lovely setting, you will start a walk through virgin forests, where you
can admire with a little bit of luck, the rare so called “Huemules”, beautiful deers
which are symbol of Chile and protected because of danger of extinction.

During this trip you will get to know the spectacular shores of lake General Carrera
and Lake Bertrand. After getting on board at the Western shores of the lake General
Carrera you will stop at some beaches, especially chosen by our guides and perfect for
the practice of fly fishing.
After a delicious lunch, you will reach the “Pasarela”, the place where the lake
General Carrera forms a short but wide river, which gives birth to the lake Bertrand.

Depending on the time of your flights departure, after breakfast or lunch, you will be
brought to the airport under the same comfortable conditions offered on arrival. Once
again, you will be accompanied by our guides offering all the attention you may need.
