Travelers will have more weeks to enjoy the mountains, skiing, snowboarding, and the stunning views of the Andes Mountains in Valle Nevado.

The Valle Nevado Ski Resort, located at more than 3,000 meters above sea level in the heart of the Andes Mountains and just 60 km from Santiago Airport (SCL), is experiencing one of its most successful seasons in recent years. With an early opening on June 13, the ski resort has already surpassed 150,000 visitors in its first two months of operation, representing a 30% increase compared to 2024 during the same period. And the best part: the season will remain open until October 5.

Valle Nevado, considered the most modern and extensive ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, officially opened on June 20 with a proposal full of new attractions. From après-ski parties to snow excursions, the complex attracts not only with its infrastructure but also with the comprehensive experience it offers.

Behind this anticipated opening is the commitment of Mountain Capital Partners (MCP), a U.S. group that currently manages Valle Nevado and La Parva, and which announced a US$4 million investment for this season. Of that amount, US$3.5 million was allocated to the former and US$600,000 to the latter.

The funds were key to renovating chairlifts, modernizing ski lifts, updating the snow grooming fleet, and remodeling the hotels in the complex, with the goal of raising the level of service and comfort for visitors.

An exceptional winter season

The general manager of Valle Nevado, Ricardo Margulis, highlighted that this winter has been particularly intense in terms of attendance (via Réport News): “On two occasions we received around 6,000 people in a single day; during weekends we averaged 4,000 visitors and only during the winter holidays we exceeded 50,000 skiers.”

This figure consolidates the resort as one of the favorites for tourists, especially Brazilians, who represent 60% of those staying at the property.

The excellent snow and slope conditions, the current promotions, the “kids free” policy that allows children under 12 to ski at no cost, and the interconnection with La Parva, which offers visitors the option to use season passes or day tickets at both resorts with an additional payment at the ticket office, are the main reasons why Valle Nevado is the ideal choice for a snow getaway in Santiago.

Valle Nevado in September and October

In addition to skiing, Valle Nevado seeks to diversify its offerings. Between September 10 and 13, a transformative mountain experience will take place, focused on reconnecting body, mind, and spirit. During those four days, there will be holistic wellness sessions, mindfulness, and deep relaxation techniques, in a unique natural setting.

Looking ahead to the season closing, scheduled for October 5, the resort announced a special promotion: 30% discount on stays between September 28 and October 5, with limited spots and subject to availability. An invitation for those who have not yet enjoyed the snow this year and want to make the most of the last days of an unforgettable winter at Valle Nevado.
