Location: Región de Los Lagos, 152 km from Puerto Montt, 74 kms from Ancud and 19 km from Castro, along the interior coastline reaching the Gulf of Ancud. It has 8 thousand inhabitants.

How to arrive: Travel from Santiago to Puerto Montt by air or land, in public transport or private vehicle. Once in Puerto Montt head South East to Pargua where you can take a ferry to cross the Chachao Channel towards the island. Then, take Ruta 5 road to the West until you reach Ancud. From Ancud to Castro there're about 85 km. Travel from Santiago to Puerto Montt by air or land, in public transport or a private vehicle. Once in Puerto Montt head to the South East towards Pargua where you can take a ferry to cross Canal de Chacao and head to the island. Head through "Ruta 5" road to the west until you arrive to Ancud. From Ancud to Castro there are about 85 kms.
