Chile's National Reserves are areas that need to be protected and used with special care because of their natural resources' susceptibility to degradation and their importance for the community's well-being.

The objective behind these reserves is to protect the land resources and of the endangered species, to maintain and improve the hydraulic production, and to develop technologies for their rational use.
