The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is the second largest protected natural area in Peru. An area of tropical rain forest where 965 wild plants grow and in which inhabit more than 1000 species of animals. Home to pink dolphins, jaguars, sloths, cougars, and alligators, Pacaya Samiria is one of the best destinations for ecotourism lovers, as it houses part of the enormous biodiversity of the Amazon, Natural Wonder of the World.

The main objective of the Pacaya Samiria Reserve is the conservation of the flora and fauna of the Peruvian jungle, including the paiche, the largest freshwater fish in the Amazon. In its more than 2 million hectares it is possible to do trekking, bird watching, nocturnal navigation and camping among other activities.
