The Alto Atacama Hotel is located in Catarpe Oasis, at the foot of Pukará de Quitor, just 3 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama. It is a quiet and peaceful place with green landscapes surrounded by high mountains that form part of the Salt Mountain Range.

Recommendations

For the excursions it is recommended to carry a backpack of 25 lts and several layers of clothing (Capilene, Fleeze, Polar), trousers convertible, windbreaker, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses.

San Pedro de Atacama is located in the Chilean highlands and many of its excursions exceed 4,000 meters above sea level (msnm). This can cause discomfort such as nausea and severe headaches. For this we recommend taking lots of water and keeping the body hydrated. The first day rest to acclimatize with the height and thus avoid the puna.
