According to data from Infobae based on official figures from the Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay, there has been a decline in trips to Argentina and an increase towards Chile during the first quarter of 2024. Although the nominal difference is still significant, the numbers show a clear trend: In the first quarter of the year, 7,686 Uruguayans traveled to Chile, with an average stay of 7.7 days. This represents a considerable increase compared to the 5,555 tourists who traveled during the same period the previous year.
