Cochamó Valley, also known as the Chilean Yosemite, is a beautiful representative of the Northern Patagonia, with its colossal granite walls that fascinate climbers from around the world, who are only recently beginning to explore new possibilities for trekking and climbing. Your expedition will last 3 days, where you will walk trough the dazzling Cochamó Valley, around 4 to 6 hours per day, with 5 kilos on your backpack while the rest of the equipment is carried by horses guided by carriers.
Day 1: Puerto Varas / La Junta
Your guide wil meet you in your hotel annd you will head to the Cochamó town, in Reloncaví Estuaty, considered the first fjord in Patagonia. Once you are there, you will be introduced to the local guide, a muleteer, and prepare the horses, to begin the journey trhough the valley, a path filled with generous vegetation and spectacular views of the granite walls. When you arrive to Las Juntas, you will have time to rest in the homey refuge of Campoaventura, where your hosts, Tatiana & Horacio, live all year long. If you still have some energy left, you can tour the Las Juntas Valley looking for the glorious granite walls.
Day 2: La Junta / Cerro Arcoiris
At sunrise, you will wake up surrounded by the granite mountains. Our adventure will start with a trek through the Valdivian Forest, ascending 900 meters, where you will be able to marvel at the enormous trees like the mañio, coigüe, larch and beech. After about four hours of hiking and climbing 2 fix ropes (very easy and safe to do), we will arrive to the high lands of the Cochamó Valley, renowned for its vertical granite walls, of over 1.000 meters tall, a place for hikers and condors. With that amazing you will enjoy lunch and prepare for the road back to Las Juntas where you will have dinner.

Day 3: La Junta / Puerto Varas
After strengthening up with a good breakfast, we begin to say goodbye and head back to Puerto Varas. You will trek 9 km downhill until you reach the road where the private transfer will be waiting to take you back to Puerto Varas. As an alternative, you can choose to reach the meeting point by horse, with and additional cost of CLP 20.000 per person.
