El Plomo mountain is the highest visible peak from Santiago, and it's a great viewpoint of the central mountain range. Once a sacred mountain for the Incas, it is now a classic of Chilean mountaineering. During the the first two days you will go from the valley of El Cepo river until the slope of El Plomo. The following day you will reach the top of the mountain in a 10 hour walk. The fourth day you will go back to Santiago, aided by mules.
