Experience the Patagonian flora and fauna as never before in this spectacular 3-night journey, departing from and arriving into Punta Arenas. You will sail through beautiful bays in the southernmost part of Tierra del Fuego island, seeing marvelous South Antarctic magellanic forests and different types of glaciers, viewing native species of the region
Day 1: Punta Arenas
Check-in between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at Av. Costanera del Estrecho de Magallanes 1398, Punta Arenas. At 6:00 PM, embark on the Cruise. The crew, led by the captain, will offer you a welcome toast on board. Afterwards, the ship will set sail towards the End of the World. Through the legendary Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel, we will journey deep into Patagonia and the fjords of Tierra del Fuego. This is the beginning of a great adventure.
Day 2: Almirantazo Bay- Nueva Zelanda Glacier
At dawn, we will begin our navigation through Admiralty Sound, entering the heart of Tierra del Fuego, where majestic glaciers descend from the mountains, some of them reaching the sea. In the morning, we will enjoy the breathtaking scenery at Jackson Bay and embark on a unique adventure: the sighting of elephant seals from our Zodiac boats. This colony has chosen this sheltered bay as its home for much of the year, and we will observe them from a respectful distance to protect their natural environment.
In the afternoon, we will continue towards Parry Fjord to enjoy a scenic hike through forests, moraines, and along a glacier-fed river, until reaching a spectacular viewpoint facing the impressive New Zealand Glacier. An unforgettable experience that combines nature, wildlife, and dreamlike landscapes.
Day 3: Ainsworth Bay - Gallegos Glacier
In the morning, we will sail through Admiralty Sound until reaching Ainsworth Bay, located in the heart of the Darwin Range and within Alberto De Agostini National Park. Here, we will witness how life reemerges after the retreat of the ice. We will take a walk to explore the beautiful sub-Antarctic Magellanic forest that surrounds this extraordinary environment.
In the afternoon, we will continue towards Brookes Fjord, where we will disembark on Zodiac boats and take an easy walk along the beach until reaching the front of the imposing and magnificent Gallegos Glacier. Here, we will learn about the formation of these massive ice structures and the natural forces that have shaped the landscapes of this unique region.
Day 4: Magdalena Island - Punta Arenas
Early in the morning, weather permitting, we will go ashore on Magdalena Island, located in the middle of the Strait of Magellan. The island used to be an essential source of supplies for navigators and explorers and is inhabited by an immense colony of Magellan Penguins that we will be able to see during our walk to the lighthouse. In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a ride aboard Zodiacs to Marta Island to observe South American Sea Lions.
Finally, disembarkation at Punta Arenas is scheduled for 12:00.
