The Rapel Lake is a great place to rest in the central area and during the summer allows for a large number of aquatic activities, such as skiing, wakeboarding, etc.

Lake Rapel is the largest artificial lake in the country, created in 1968 by the Rapel hydroelectric center. It is formed by the confluence of the Cachapoal and Tinguiririca rivers contained by a dam.

This is a warm weather zone, ideally suited for practicing water sports, relaxation, and entertainment. Recreational activity is almost completely concentrated on the southern shore of the Chachapoal inlet. Most of the campgrounds, lodging, and private clubs are located in this area as well.
