The Omora Park is located 3 km west of the city of Puerto Williams. Within the park are the main habitats of the region: forests of coigüe, lenga and ñirre, sphagnum mobs, beaver wetlands and alpine areas. Always accompanied by a specialized guide, the trails are marked with posters that describe the biological and cultural characteristics of the island in Spanish, Yagan, English and Latin-scientific languages. The park is a project of the Omora Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to biocultural conservation in the southern tip of South America, named after the Yagán word for hummingbird.
