What you will visit:
- 1 Colchagua Valley
We will be at your hotel in Santiago at approximately 7:30 am to begin the full day tour to the Colchagua Valley and learn more about Chilean wine production.
Our first stop will be in Clos de Apalta. This revolutionary winery is dedicated exclusively to the production of wine world-class icon Casa Lapostolle, Clos Apalta.
The winery is 100% gravity fed, encompassing five levels, three of which are buried in the granite of the Apalta hillside to provide a natural cold temperature environment for care and aging. This vertical design allows the wine to flow naturally during each stage of production.
The grapes are harvested by hand and taken to the highest level of the winery where they will be defatted to 100%, a labor intensive technique made by very few wineries in the world.
We continue the tour towards Viña Neyen. This winery is the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The vineyards of Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1890 now produce excellent fruit thanks to their deep roots and natural balance, which allows us to take advantage of the benefits that bring the richness and elegance of the passage of time.
13:30 hours: We arrived at Viña Viu Manent to have lunch at Rayuela Restaurant, a very cozy place with a panoramic view of the Apalta hills. The Chef serves the cuisine and offers a simple menu of grilled foods such as meat and fish that guests combine with a variety of dishes of their choice.
After lunch, we finish the day with a good wine tasting in the Viu Manent vineyard.
19:00 hours: End of tour and return to your hotel in Santiago.
