Less than 50 km from the capital of Chile there are 3 ski centers. Here we give you the reasons why you should NOT visit them.
- If you're not an adrenaline junkie, we do not recommend skiing in Valle Nevado!
This renowned mountain resort has courts, slopes, virgin snow of excellent quality and incredible Andean meadows for skiing and snowboarding both on its 34 tracks and off-pise. If you don't like extreme emotions or skiing in majestic natural environments, then we don't recommend going up to the high peaks of the Andes Mountain range by helicopter from your helipor in Valle Nevado.
- If you do not want to learn to ski to perfection, do not go with more than 70 specialized instructors of La Parva
Located 50 km from Santiago, this ski center stands out for the quality of its classes in snow sports. The more than 70 instructors teach with the School Camp method, which ensures entertaining and risk-free learning for children and adults. In addition, La Parva has a training Ski Club for national competitors.
- If you are not interested in visiting the most modern ski facilities in the country, you should not snowboard in Valle Nevado
Recognized as the best-level ski center in all of South America, Valle Nevado was the first center to incorporate a detachable lifeline (adjustable speed according to section), in addition to boarding mats, a halfpipe and a spectacular snowpark which have made this the venue for the Snowboard World Cup.
- If you are not interested in resting watching the spectacular views of the valley of Santiago from the mountain range, do not stay in La Parva
This is the winter center with the largest population in the area since it has shelters and apartments that attract families as well as groups of friends that seek to stay during the ski season. Also in Villa La Parva, there are restaurants, bar, cafeteria, clinic, and even disco.
- If you don't want to drive only 36 kilometers to climb the snow, we don't recommend visiting El Colorado
It was the first ski center that was built near Santiago and for that reason, it has become a classic for families and young people from the capital. If you do not want to slide in your 70 tracks for novices, advanced and experts; enjoy its varied gastronomic offer or rest in one of its small hotels and apartments, then, do not visit this comfortable ski center.
