The most beautiful beaches of Atacama

The beaches of the Atacama region  are nationally recognized for their beauty. With white sand and turquoise waters, these small paradises are ideal to rest, enjoy the sun and observe the characteristic wildlife of this part of Chile.

• Bahía Inglesa

It has the reputation of having some of the most beautiful beaches in Chile, and its turquoise pools are hypnotizing. The Pools, El Chungo, and Playa Blanca are ideal for relaxing and practicing water sports such as kitesurfing.

• Playa la Virgen

If Bahía Inglesa is one of the most beautiful, we could say that La Virgen is the most beautiful beach in Chile. In the surrounding area, there are campsites and cabins with sea views, which we recommend you to rent in advance, as it is highly valued.

• Pan de Azúcar National Park

40 thousand hectares of turquoise water beaches perfect for swimming and diving the Pan de Azúcar is one of the best places in northern Chile to spot native wildlife such as foxes, vicuñas and Humboldt penguins. If you are not spending the afternoon lying on the white sand in the sun, you can take your mountain bike or trek to the spectacular viewpoints of the park.

• Llanos de Challe National Park

Located 17 km north of Vallenar, you will find this wonderful park, the best place to enjoy the incredible phenomenon of the flowery desert. The desert is dyed in colors that contrast with the calypso-colored water. It is one of the favorite places of photographers for group travel, as well as for those adventurers who enjoy the purest contact with nature. To walk there is a 2.5 km circular path that takes you through the different environments of the park.
