Transfer SCL - San Pedro: Check in at a homestay depending on your comfort preferences.
Traditional atacameño lunch: Traditional dishes based on corn, quinoa, llama or lamb meat, vegetables and fruit from the orchard.
Excursion to Valle de la Luna: Guided by locals, we will get to know the caves, valleys and streams of this amazing national reserve.
Astronomy in the wilderness: Join us on this journey through time and space, learning constellations and galaxies, and observing with modern telescopes.
Day 2: Hierbas Buenas, Rio Grande & Llamas
Hierbas Buenas Valley:
Along with Pamela Condori, local guide, we will see the impressive petroglyphs of the site and visit the Valley of the Rainbow enjoying its many colors.
Río Grande:
Discover this village nestled in one of the deepest canyons in the desert. You will walk around orchards and stone houses. We will lunch here, having everything prepared by Pamela's mother.
Ancestral Caravan:
Back in San Pedro, we will meet Sandra, who will teach us the particularities of raising llamas, and guide us in a ride that will remind us of the ancient desert caravans.
Day 3: Lagoons & Socaire
Chaxa Lagoon:
Located in the center of the Salar de Atacama, this is a privileged place for flamingos observation.
Heritage tour through Socaire:
With our local guide, we will get to know the history of churches and terraced fields of this picturesque village. Also, enjoy a delicious lunch with quinoa, purple potatoes, beans and other local products.
Visit highland lakes:
In the afternoon, enjoy the vastness of the highlands and large volcanoes. Amid the pampas, the lagoons Miscanti and Miñiques will delight us with their deep blue colors.
Day 4: Geysers & Gastronomy
Geysers del Tatio:
We will have an early awakening to ascend to the 4mil meters high under the stars. Once on the plateau, you will observe and tour the amazing thermal field. Upon return, we will cross the Putana and Machuca rivers, watching the peaceful life of the birds and vicuñas.
Atacameña Tasting
After a long morning, what better than to go back and try a first class atacameño cocktail with a great lunch at the Senderos del Coyo restaurant. Then, we will enjoy a well deserved nap next to the garden.
Transfer San Pedro - Santiago:
Unfortunately, everything must come to an end. We will return to Santiago, filled with memories and with a light heart.
