We will get to know the oldest vineyard in the Colchagua Valley, have lunch at the Viu Manent vineyard, taste Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere in the Montes Vineyard and end our tour with the Lapostolle Vineyard.
The Colchagua Valley is 130 km south of Santiago. The short distance through the valley between the ocean and the mountain range generates a special climate that favors the superior quality of its wines. Due to these exceptional climatic conditions, the adaptation of most strains is optimal, especially Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere, where their best exponents are produced, due to the demanding climate they require to reach their optimum maturity.
We will begin the tour of the Casa Silva Vineyard where we will visit the oldest vineyard in Colchagua, the heritage architecture of its winery and hotel, ending with a tasting of its best carmeneres. Then we will go to the Viu Manent Vineyard where we will have a free choice menu à la carte at the Rayuela restaurant. (not included). Later we will move to the Montes Vineyard, where we will ride in a carriage through its vineyards with a panoramic view of the Apalta Valley, we will tour its modern cellar and barrel room where we will taste Montes wines. Finally, we will go to Lapostolle Vineyard where we will visit the extraordinary 6-story Clos Apalta winery nestled in the hills and taste renowned wines and then return to Santiago
