What you will visit:
- 1 Santiago
- 2 Cajón del Maipo
We will leave from your hotel in Santiago at around 6.30 AM, to travel to the Cajon del Maipo, a sector located just 75 kilometers southeast of Santiago, in the middle of the Andes.
Our first stop will be in the town of San José de Maipo, where we will stop, so that those who wish may take an exquisite local breakfast. Then we will continue with a panoramic visit through the town and continue towards the Tinoco Tunnel, declared a National Historical Monument that holds incredible local paranormal stories.
On our way to El Yeso we will pass through Las Cáscaras Refuge, which in the 1960s served as the camp for the workers who built the reservoir. From there we will have beautiful views towards one of the most emblematic glaciers in the area. After that, we will arrive to our final destination, the beautiful turquoise lagoon framed between mountains, where we will stay to enjoy the views, share a glass of wine, cheese and a delicious sandwich.
At the end of our tour we will take the vehicle that takes us back to Santiago at around 6 pm.
IMPORTANT! Due to the current security conditions in the area, the access to the lagoon is closed at this time (until further notice). This tour has been modified to visit the Laguna del Inca, in the Portillo sector, with very similar characteristics and unique flora and fauna of the Andes mountains. Write to us for more information
