Located on the southern coastal edge of the city of Arica, Hotel Apacheta is located between La Lisera and El Laucho beaches, 15 minutes walk from the city center.
Its name, Quechua "apachita", is a pile of pierdras, one on top of the other forming a monolith, built by the indigenous travelers of the Andes as an offering and petition for the Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (gods of the mountains) gave them their protection; they are sacred monuments that were built by thousands on the banks of the Inca Trail.
The hotel is built entirely of wood and its main design criteria are sustainability, efficient use of energy and respect for the environment. It has 18 rooms, all with sea view and private bathroom.
