If you are traveling in Arica, this tour will take you to know the best of the Chilean highlands. We will visit the Lauca National Park that stands out for its Andean flora and fauna, surrounded by volcanoes with permanent fumaroles and we’ll know the villages of Socoroma and Putre.

What you will visit:

We will pick you up at your hotel in Arica to take the road that will lead us to the Lluta Valley, where you can admire its crops. During the ascent, you will be able to appreciate the diverse flora and fauna of the area, and we will visit the Lluta Geoglyphs. We will then arrive at the town of Poconchile and its 17th-century Church. Next, we will visit the Cardones Gorge with its candelabra cacti, the Pukara of Copaquilla, and the Tambo of Zapahuira.

We will have a panoramic view of the town of Putre before entering the Nature Sanctuary, Lauca National Park. Surrounded by the Parinacota, Pomerape, Quimsachatas, and Guallatire volcanoes, with permanent fumaroles and wildlife such as Guanacos, Alpacas, Vicuñas, Llamas, and Vizcachas. Among its landscapes, you will see the bofedales, Yareta, Paja Brava, and the Cotacotani Lagoons. We will arrive at the beautiful Chungara Lake (4,500 meters above sea level), surrounded by a stunning high-altitude landscape and birdlife (ducks, Taguas, and flamingos). We will visit the village of Parinacota (4,400 meters above sea level), with its Andean Colonial architecture and mud houses. We will then return to Putre for tea service and a City Tour.

We will return to your hotel in Arica by 8:30 p.m.
