Due to its traditional a natural beauties, Easter Island or Rapa Nui constitutes one of the most attractive places in the world. It’s located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, forming a part of the continent of Oceania, but at the same time being part of the insular territory of Chile. It’s especially important because native culture is still developing on that island. The natives still have and practice the customs of their ancestors, highlighting the Moais, raised hundreds of years ago, whom still stand and are highly protected. Myth and reality constantly merge together in this territory that gave its origin to a unique and extraordinary culture that transforms Rapa Nui in a valuable archeological treasure that transcends Chile’s borders. The island gathers thousands of tourists every year, who come to discover its amazing archeological sites, to enjoy its natural beauties and to know a little bit more of its culture and traditions. All of this enchanted the UNESCO, who declared the island World Heritage in 1995.
Day 1: Transfer from Rapa- Nui Airport to Hotel
Once you arrive at the Airport in Rapa-Nui you will be welcomed with a necklace of flowers.
Then we will go to hotel Explora
Day 2: Rapa-Nui National Park
Starting the tour from the hotel in Hanga Roa, the tour will take you to the southeast and northeast coast of the island to visit the Ahu Akahanga, formed by 4 platforms, 12 Moai, 8 Pukao. From there it’s possible to appreciate one of the best conserved towns of the island. Continuing towards Rano Raraku’s volcano crater formed from the consolidated volcanic ash, Rano Raraku is a visual registry of the vocabulary of Moai design and the technological innovation, where 397 moais remain. Lunch on-site.
Ahu tongariki, the most amazing Ahu of the island, counting with 15 huge moais. Ahu Te Pito Kura, has the biggest statue erected on an Ahu, the PARO moai, of 10mts and 85 tons with a PUKAO of 11,5 tons. It’s believed that it was the last statue to be shot down in 1840. Next to the AHU is a big round rock that is identified as the belly button of the world (TE PITO or TE HENUA), that according to the legend, it was brought by Hotu Matua ‘a on his vessel. Ahu Nau Nau possess 5 moais with Pukao and 2 broken. The back of the moai and some stones on the wall have petroglyphs. During the excavations, they found an extraordinary white coral eye with a red pupil, its displayed at the island museum.
The tour ends on Anakea beach, warm waters with white sand which also counts with some moais.

Day 3: Half a day tour Akivi
During the circuit we’ll visit Ahu Akivi, one of the few platforms where the moais seem to be looking at the sea, with 7 moais in the present it’s said represents 7 explorers sent by the king Hotu a Matu¨a before his colonizer journey. After this visit we’ll continue until reaching Uri a Urenga and finally Puna Pau, a little crater in which the Pukao where made, hats or crowns of the moais.
Day 4: Half a day tour Orongo
In this tour, the Vinapu sector will be visited, an archeologist site which characterizes for its big basalt slabs made put carefully in a way like the Inca constructions. Rano Kau volcano, a place where a lagoon with little totora islands and abundant vegetation and micro fauna can be found. Orongo ceremonial village place where they performed the ceremony of the man-bird, which designated who was going to be, alongside the king, the political and spiritual boss during a year’s period. This holy character with the body of a shrink man and a big bird’s beak is sculpted in a lot of craved stones.

Day 5: Rapa-Nui Airport Hotel Explora Transfer
Once you have finished our program we will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the Rapa-Nui Airport where you will bid farewell to this unforgettable island with a beautiful flower necklace.
