City Tour Punta Arenas 3 hours

We will depart from your hotel at 09:30a.m or 15:30p.m approximately towards the Cerro de la Cruz, where you can see a panoramic view of the city of Punta Arenas with its colorful roofs, the Strait of Magellan and in the background of the landscape, the great Tierra del Fuego Island. At this stop our local guide will give you all the information about the city.

We will continue visiting the Salesian Museum “Mayorino Borgatello”, which gathers the history of the missionaries in this area, tools and images of the aborigines, the flora and fauna of the region, the development of trade and the history of oil.

Then we will visit the avenues and squares of the city, several monuments and cultural patrimonies such as the monument to the sheepherder, where we identify a sheepherder worker who carries in one hand the reins of his horse and, in the other hand, a whip to herd the sheep, a tribute to the rural workers who safeguarded the cattle wealth.

We will end our tour at the Plaza de Armas Muñoz Gomero, where we find the bronze sculpture of Don Hernando de Magallanes in memory of the discoverer of the Strait of Magellan, and at its base there are Fuegian natives lying down and in particular one where the tradition says that "if you kiss his foot . ... the visitor will return to the city".

After the tour we will take you back to your hotel.
