The National Holidays in Chile offer a unique opportunity to delve into Chilean culture and explore the tourist attractions of Santiago and its surroundings.

With four days of celebration, the 2023 National Holidays in Santiago are about to unleash a long-awaited sense of joy among all Chileans. After two years in which the pandemic left its mark on the September 18 celebrations, this time the joy and patriotic fervor will once again overflow through the streets, not only in the capital but throughout Chile.

Just weeks away from the arrival of the National Holidays, anticipation grows among Chileans as they prepare for five days of uninterrupted celebrations. The festivity extends from Friday, September 15th, to Tuesday, September 19th, days when Chilean culture will be showcased in all its splendor. And for those fortunate enough to have the entire week off, they can enjoy a whole week dedicated to traditions.

While many families choose to gather at home to prepare a delicious barbecue, others seek to experience the festivities in "fondas" and other traditional National Holidays events. Santiago will be filled with these iconic spaces where gastronomy, music, and dance come together to celebrate Chilean culture in its fullest expression.
