If you want to explore the end of the world on foot, we recommend you to do this 6-day trekking circuit by Dientes de Navarino. You will travel through the best landscapes of Tierra del Fuego in the middle of forests, lagoons and mountains.

Day 1: Punta Arenas – Puerto Williams

What you will visit:

  • 1 Punta Arenas

This travel program begins in Punta Arenas at 9:30 a.m. at your hotel.

We take a flight of approximately one hour in Aerovias DAP to the city of Puerto Williams, located north of Navarino Island. On the way you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes from the air. We then cross the Strait of Magellan, the glaciers of the Darwin Range, small austral channels and the Beagle Channel.

1:00 pm: Arrival at Lakutuaia Lodge, where we have a welcome aperitif and then enjoy lunch. During the afternoon we will visit the Omora Botanical Park, which is characterized by its great diversity of mosses and other plants typical of the extreme south. In this excursion, called "Tourism with Lupa" we visit the Miniature Forests of the Cape Horn Islands and we will be in contact with local communities of the Yagan ethnic group, who live in Puerto Williams.

Dinner at Lakutuaia Lodge and after this, the specialized guide will make a descriptive talk about the course of the next days and will provide the details of the trekking circuit in Dientes de Navarino.

Day 2: Begin trekking in Robalo Valley

What you will visit:

After breakfast, we are going to leave at 8:30 am until the start of the trekking trail. This day will reach the end of the Róbalo Valley, until the Laguna del Salto.

Ascent by the bottom of the valley, two thirds of the time in the middle of the forest. Progressive approach to the Dientes de Navarino. There will be numerous lagoons, lakes and beaver dams.

Day 3: Martillo Lagoon Trekking

What you will visit:

9:00 am: Start of activities.

From Laguna Martillo opens the wide Guerrico Valley, through which you walk for 3 hours. In this valley, we resume contact at times with less rocky terrain and even with forest walks. We’ll have views over the picturesque Lindemayer Mountains. Ascent to Paso Virginia (860m high: 440m in 90 minutes)

Box lunch in the field.

Descent for 90 minutes until reaching a protected camp in the forest, on the shore of Laguna Las Guanacas.

Dinner 20:00 and accommodation in tents.

Day 4: Trekking to Escondida Lagoon

What you will visit:

  • 1 Navarino Island

09:00 am: the trekking start. 

In the morning we climb approximately 3 hours to the summit of Cerro Batinelli where we then find Lake Windhond and the southern limit of Navarino Island (Windhound Bay).

Box lunch in the field.

We will resume the trekking to the Los Dientes lagoon and continue until we reach the Escondida lagoon.

Dinner 20: 00hrs and accommodation in tents.

Day 5: Relax in Lakutaia Lodge.

What you will visit:

Start of activities 09:00 AM

Permanent descent to sea level, 9 km. At first you walk through the forest, and then in clear terrain (460 meters of altitude in 3 hours). Upon reaching the main road, transfer by vehicle for 5 km until you reach Lakutaia Lodge, where you will be greeted with an aperitif and later lunch.

Afternoon free to rest, share experiences and celebrate having completed the southernmost trekking in the world.

Dinner 20:00 hrs and accommodation in tents.

Day 6: Puerto Williams - Punta Arenas

What you will visit:

  • 1 Punta Arenas

09:00 am: Start of activities.

Breakfast. Depending on the time of your trip, (if there is time) we will go to Puerto Williams and visit the Martin Gusinde Anthropological Museum (closed on Mondays and Saturdays in the morning).

Transfer to the airfield to take your flight to Punta Arenas.
