The adventure begins in Barrio Puerto, the first neighborhood of Valparaiso, where we will explore the social reality of this city that was one of the richest ports in the world and has accumulated more than 100 years of decadence. During our tour we are going to talk about the Chilean diet, the intense social history of Valparaiso and the unique way in which democracy is lived.

10:15: We visit the first mural of street art and the first funicular.

Plaza Echaurren
10:30: We walk through the Plaza Echaurren.
10:45: We take the public bus O. It is a roller coaster that goes up and up through 14 interesting hills devastated by poverty but rich in history, street art and a political organization that is proud of its inhabitants. The bus route is the same that Che Guevara does on his arrival to Valparaiso in the movie "Motorcycle Diaries".

11:10: You will be 800 meters above sea level and  understand why Valparaiso is a real postcard. You will learn how the immigrants built the city until reaching the Cintura Road to later walking down to the oldest prison in Chile. In this descent you can admire the bay and the neighboring towns of Viña del Mar, Reñaca and Con Con.

11:45: We are going to tell you how a Cultural Center, which was born as a warehouse to store gunpowder for explosives, became a prison with more than 100 years of life where political prisoners were tortured and killed. It is the Ex-Prison Cultural Park built on the grounds of the old Port prison.

Discover the Art of Valparaiso.
12:15: you will be taken through the hills and  meet the oldest Protestant Cemetery in Latin America. Here are some of the best graffiti in the city.

12:45: Our tour finishes in an old palace with more than a century of antiquity where you can enjoy a local drink.

Finally we finish in Baburizza Square.
