Formed by the melting glaciers, the Laguna Verde is one of the most beautiful landscapes of Cerro Castillo National Park. This trek will take you to know it, passing through the forests of lenga and ñire of the place.
We will pick you up at your hotel in Coyhaique to visit Cerro Castillo National Park, located 100 km from the city. From the main entrance we will start our 9-kilometer hike through lenga and ñire forests, until we reach Laguna Verde. During the trek we will enjoy spectacular views of the General Carrera lake and the Ibáñez river valley.
Our walk will last 3 and a half hours, and it will be on a path of medium difficulty with some climbs; It is not necessary to be an expert, but to be in good physical condition. Upon reaching the top of the hill we will enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the Laguna Verde, formed by the water of the imposing glaciers of Cerro Castillo.
After about 45 minutes we will start the trekking back to the park's main entrance, to meet the vehicle that will take us to Coyhaique
