In this travel package you will learn the best of Puerto Varas and Chiloe in 5 days. We will visit Frutillar and Puerto Octay and we are going to travel to Castro, in Chiloé island, famous by their color houses and markets. Also we will appreciated the nature in the surrounds of Llanquihue lake, the Petrohué waterfalls and Osorno volcano.
Day 1: Arrival to Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas
From Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt, we will go to your hotel in Puerto Varas so you can rest and get to know the city as you prefer.
Day 2: Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas - Frutillar - Puerto Octay - Osorno volcano
Llanquigue, Frutillar and Puerto Octay tour

Come and visit Frutillar and Puerto Octay on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, two villages in Los Lagos region that share a strong German tradition.
We will leave your hotel at 9:00 am approximately and head towards to Frutillar. On the way we will pass by the city of Llanquihue, which is famous by the Route of the Settlers.
Then, we will arrive in Frutillar that emerged in 1856 as a pier in which appeared tanneries, mills and breweries. We will visit the old German styled houses that are characterized by their colorful gardens and terraces that have a beautiful view to the Llanquihue Lake and the Osorno volcano.
Tourists who want to, can enter the German Colonial Museum that displays the history and life of the settlers. We will also see the Theater of the Lake, on the lake shore, where the famous “Semanas Musicales del frutillar” are held every year with worldwide attendants.
We will continue our trip to Puerto Octay, where we will visit the Centinela Peninsula and the viewpoint.

Osorno Volcano Excursion

From the heights of the volcano Osorno you’ll be able to see the most beautiful landscapes of Los Lagos region. This place is known for being the entrance to the Chilean Patagonia and one of the volcanoes with the most beautiful landscapes.
Departure from your hotel at 15:00 am approximately, we will head to the Osorno volcano, bordering the Llanquihue Lake. We will start going uphill in Ensenada in a transfer, until we get to the ski center which is located on the top of the volcano. There we’ll will have time to enjoy the landscapes and take pictures.

Day 3: Castro - Dalcahue - Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas - Ancud - Chiloé Island

Chiloé Island is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Region of Los Lagos. It is characterized by its strong religiosity, wool, wood and pottery crafts. Come to meet Castro, Ancud and Dalcahue, which are the main cities of Chiloé.
We will leave from your hotel at 8:00 approximately to head towards Pargua; there we’ll take the ferry that will take us to Chiloé Island through the Chacao channel. We will arrive in the village and we’ll take a walk to know about the architecture and the Church San Antonio de Achao, which has been declared as a World Heritage place.
We will continue to Dalcahue, where we will see the classic postcard of Chiloé with colored stilts (palafito) built on the water. We will visit the traditional market and the Church “Nuestra Señora de los Dolores de Dalcahue” that was declared Patrimony of the Humanity by Unesco in the year 2000.
Then, we will travel to Castro, the main city of Chiloé and stop at Gamboa’s viewpoint. We will visit the San Francisco church which was declared a National Historical Monument and a World Heritage Site. Finally, in Castro, we will visit the great Handicraft Market.
By the end of the tour we will arrive to Ancud, where we will meet the Fort of San Antonio, a historical site located in the upper part of the city. In addition, we will visit the Local Museum, the Plaza de Armas and the Municipal Market, which offers a variety of gastronomic options from the Island.

Day 4: Puerto Varas - Lago Todos los Santos - Saltos de Petrohué

From the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park you can see the most spectacular landscapes of the Los Lagos Region, such as the Saltos del Petrohué, the Todos Los Santos lake and the ecological village of Peulla.
We will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Varas between 7.30 - 7:45 AM, to go to the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, located on the road to Ensenada. Upon arrival we will visit the famous Saltos del Petrohué, and then we embark on a navigation through the Todos Los Santos lake, which will take us to the small ecological village of Peulla.
On the route we can watch impressive views of the Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador volcanoes, as well as the island of Margarita. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we will arrive to Peulla, where we will have time to have lunch and to do some of the varied activities of adventure tourism, like canopy, horseback riding, fishing, jetboat rides and 4x4 safari (not included in the value of the program).
At 6.30 pm we will be back in Puerto Varas.
